Wat Phra Narai Maharaj is a historically very important Buddhist temple or Wat in Nakhon Ratchasima (Khorat).

Wat Phra Narai Maharaj history and architecture

King Narai had graciously commanded the temple built together with the construction of Nakhon Ratchasima.

The Bot of the temple was built in the middle of a big pond surrounded only by water. In the Bot there is a Buddha image in Subduing Mara (evil) posture from the Ayutthaya period.

Wat Phra Narai Maharaj is a big and shady temple. It's calm and peaceful atmosphere make it very appropriate for meditation.
