Trekking in Khao Yai National Park

Nature lovers flock every year in large numbers to Nakhon Ratchasima procince and Khao Yai National Park. It is not far from Khorat and about 160 kilometers northeast of Bangkok. The park is well managed and its mountainous area of 2,168 square kilometers contains several streams and beautiful waterfalls. A Number of treks and paths invite for trekking alone or in guided tours.

Khao Yai National Park conserves a large population of mammals such as elephant, gibbon, guar, samba deer, barking deer and tiger. It is also a well-known destination for birdwatching. Visitors can stay up on a tower during the daytime to relax and enjoy a good view of the grassland and forest while observing birds and animals around.
